So, recently I had to send some supporting information into the Scottish Wedding Awards (you can find out more about them here) and it made me reflect on my journey with Wildflower & Willow and I cannot believe how quickly time goes! I left my corporate job in August 2021 to be full time self-employed in Wildflower & Willow and it just struck me that it was now pretty much 2 and a half years ago! Which is crazy because lockdown feels like yesterday, am I right?! So I thought it was about time I shared a bit more about how Wildflower & Willow came about, and how it’s grown to what it is today!
The wedding altar symbolises the unity of the couple and their families coming together. It marks the beginning of their journey together as a married couple and represents their commitment to each other. In the past couples were perhaps restricted by their wedding venue as to how they could decorate the altar, but now with […]
Let’s talk all about Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2024…Peach Fuzz. I’m in love, and it’s great for wedding flowers! While I love getting creative with winter foliage and flowers, and the magic sprinkled into a Christmas wedding, it’s the entire ambience and atmosphere of winter weddings that […]

Picture this – you are hosting a fancy Christmas party, everyone is dressed up to the nines, champagne is flowing and your guests are entering through the most beautifully decorated doorway, with stunning garlands and festive blooms enticing them into the warmth of the party. They think that’s the showstopper, but then they see the […]
However as a florist I do see it as an obligation to support the environmental future of the planet, and minimise Wildflower & Willow’s environmental impact as much as possible. For me nature is at the heart of sustainable floristry, and who becomes a florist without a love of nature, right?!
